Thanks to Ento’s analysis, a municipality noticed that one of their buildings had an unusually high electricity consumption of 40,000 DKK annually. The building was housing a few smaller clubs and associations which shouldn’t require as much energy as there was used.

The energy managers went to investigate – and found that the local pool club had three or four pool tables that were heated 24/7. Apparently, electric heaters are installed in the tables to ensure just the right conditions for playing.

A luxury the municipality footed the bill for.
